His presentation focuses on "Smart Sensors & Digitalization in the Plastics Industry". The Linz Institute of Technology (LIT) has committed itself to set up and run an Industry 4.0 pilot plant. The objective is to simulate industral production being penetrated by digital systems and to push potentials and synergies already existing. Of course always focussing on the human being, the environment and the economy. Klaus Straka will pinpoint this concept, explaining how digitized information can work for us, finally resulting in the development of new business models.
